Senator Tokunbo Abiru, the Chairman, Southern Senators’ Forum, and his wife, Mrs Feyisola Abiru, have felicitated a father – figure and mentor, Sir (Chief) Engr. Olukayode Shoderu, KJW, at 85.
Sir Shoderu, Chairman, Board of Trustees (BOT), Oriwu Club and Chairman, Liaison Group, Eminent Persons of Ikorodu Division, clocked 85 today.
In a statement jointly signed by the couple today, the couple said that the achievements of the celebrant whom they described as a man of integrity and honour, inspired them a lot.
“It is with great pleasure that I join eminent personalities in Ikorodu, and beyond in celebrating our father and mentor, Sir. Engr. (Chief) Rasheed Omokayode Atanda Shoderu, on the occasion of his 85th birthday”, Sen. Abiru and wife said.
“Sir Shoderu’s life and achievements shaped and inspired many of us while growing up. Pa Shoderu is an epitome of integrity, a highly committed community leader who devoted his resources to the advancement of the people of Ikorodu.
“The trajectory of Sir Shoderu’s journey in the last 85 years, has been highly remarkable. He grew up as a well-nurtured Yoruba man. He had the best of education, maintaining an outstanding academic scholarship from his days at African Bethel Primary School, Ikorodu, to the famous Eko Boys High School, Mushin (1956 – 1960), and the prestigious University of Aberdeen, Scotland, United Kingdom, where he excelled and got equipped for greater success. The dedication of Sir Shoderu to work distinguished him amongst his peers and set him on a path of progress both as government worker, engineering consultant and business owner.
“On this special occasion, I join his family, friends, associates, and well-wishers in wishing him a very happy birthday. May Almighty God continue to bless him with good health as he ages gracefully.
