Achievers’ Crew Mourns Death Of Member’s Mother, Mrs Omotayo Adeyemi

The Board of Trustees (BOT) and members of the Achievers’ Crew, a social and developmental body, has mourned the death of mother of one of their members, late Mrs Omotayo Funmilola Adeyemi (Nee Dankuwo

Late Mrs Adeyemi, mother of Tomi Adeyemi, popularly called ‘Alaafin’, passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2024, after a brief illness, and was buried at her resident at Abule Eko, ljede, on Saturday.

The deceased is from the popular Dankuwo family of Igbogbo.

In a statement signed by the Chairman and Secretary, BOT Achievers’ Crew, Mr Gbenga Odunniyi and Mr Olabode Oyesanya respectively, the group sympathised with one of their own and the entire children and family of the late Mrs Adeyemi.

“On behalf of the BOT and all the members of Achievers’ Crew, we sympathize with our dear brother (Tomi Adeyemi) for the great loss of his mother who passed on yesterday”, the statement said.

“We pray that the Almighty God comforts you and the entire family at this critical time.

“May the Almighty God grants her eternal rest and forgives all her sins.

“Please, accept our sincere condolences”.

Chieftains and members of the Achievers’ Crew have also been sending individual condolence messages to sympathise and comfort Tomi and other members of his family.

Dr Nurudeen Oshinlaja, a researcher with the Cardiff University, Cardiff United Kingdom, in his own message, said:

“@Alaafin Achiever, it is well with you and your family. May God bless you with the fortitude to bear the huge loss. May God console you and your family. Please, take solace in God’s love for her. May God rest her soul and forgive her sins”, he said

Hameed Olalekan Aroyewun (HOA), an aspirant for the Igbogbo/Bayeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA) Chairmanship position, described the development as a sad one.

“It’s sad to announce the death of Tomi Adeyemi’s mother who breathed her last in the late hour of Thursday”, he said.

“Let us show love to Tomi at this moment of grief.

“May the Almighty grant Tomi and the family the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.

“Accept my condolences”, he added.

The President of Igbogbo Youth Coalition (IYC) and a chieftain of the Achievers’ Crew, also expressing his own sympathy, said:

“@Alaafin Achiever, I sympertise with you on the demise of your beloved mum.

Mr Sanni Abidemi Yusuf (Say), another chieftain of the group, in his own message, said:

“Inalillahi Wa llehi Rojiun. May the Almighty God forgive her sins and grant her Eternity”.

“Also, I request that God should give Tomi and the entire families the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss”.

Barr. Adeleke Aroyewun sent his condolences to Tomi and members of his family and prayed to God to comfort them.

“Tomi Adeyemi, my heart goes out to you and your family during this difficult time. I’m so sorry to hear about the loss of your mother”, he said.

“May her soul rest in peace and may you find comfort in the fond memories you shared with her. May her love, guidance, and legacy continue to inspire and strengthen you in the days ahead.

“You’re in my thoughts and prayers, and I’m here for you if you need someone to talk to or a shoulder to lean on. May you find solace in the love and support that surround you, and may your mother’s memory be a blessing to you always”.

Another member, Mr Toyib Oke (Bako), also commenting, said:

“Oops! @Alaafin Achiever, it is so difficult to experience and accept an eternal disappearance of a mother’s roles in this world. I share your pains and feeling at this period; mother’s death is the real monumental loss. Let her guidance be the most important thing for you going forward”.

“May the Olódùmarè be pleased with her departed soul, and grant her an eternal rest.

“Be strong my brother man”.

Canada – based member of the group, Mr Mutiu Ogunyemi, also commenting, said:

“@Alaafin Achiever, may her soul rest in perfect peace, pls, do accept my sincere condolences bro”.
