-Urges celebration of lleya in peace, unity
Sen. Olafare Comfort Oladunni, the new Coordinator, National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Igbogbo/Bayeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA), has assured youths in the council of many impactful initiatives and programmes during her administration.
She also enjoined youths in Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA in particular and Ikorodu Division generally, to celebrate the Ileya season in spirit of oneness.
Comfort, who took over from Comrade Omotayo ‘TySleek’ Odusanya, a few days back, spoke with THE IMPACT in Ikorodu.
“I first want to congratulate the youths, because not everyone who wish to witness this day is alive. I also congratulate our muslim brothers and sisters, a happy Ileya festival. May we all live to witness many more celebrations”, she said.
“I want to implore the youths to let us abide by the spirit of unity. Let us abide by the spirit of oneness, irrespective of the challenges we are facing out there. It is always good when we are united, through that, we can achieve a lot, but when there is division, we tend not to have anything at all.
“I want to implore us all, let’s remain united. Let’s preach love. Let be our brother’s keepers. If you have enough at home, let share with those who don’t have, because we understand the economy is hard on people and then, we all need to survive.
“So, if you have enough, try as much as possible to share with those who don’t have, so, that we all can enjoy this festive period”, Sen. Comfort appealed.
Meanwhile, the active young lady has assured youths in his constituency of a lot of impactful programmes during her administration as the NYCN Coordinator.
“You should be expecting a lot. I mean a lot more, because, myself and the executives are in one accord and we are people from different backgrounds; different experiences and we have plans to ensure Igbogbo youths remain progressive has it has always been”, she told THE IMPACT.
“We have programs that cut across and we are already planning on entertainment, education entrepreneurship, empowerment, and social programmes, because as much as all of those things are important, fun is also important too.
“We are looking forward to program that will engage the youths together and ensure that we progress irrespective of disparity. We are looking at how to re -unite ourselves and remain one as we have always been.
“We should not allow anything to break us. We should remain one as we have always been, and then, come together and team up; do programs that will bring about growth and bring about recognition for Igbogbo youths at large”, Sen. Comfort said.
