Federal Lawmaker Lauds Nigeria’s Democratic Journey, Progress So Far

A federal lawmaker and Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on Defense, Rep. Babajimi Benson, has commended the 25 years of unbroken democratic practice and gains achieved so far in Nigeria.

While acknowledging the challenges that still lie ahead, the three term lawmaker also said that the administration of President Bola Tinubu is committed to good governance and economic growth that would impact positively on Nigerians.

He called for support for the administration.

“On this auspicious day, I commend our nation’s journey towards democratic governance and celebrate the progress we have made”, Rep. Benson said.

“I acknowledge the challenges that still lie ahead and the need for collective effort to overcome them.

“President Tinubu’s administration has demonstrated its commitment to good governance, economic growth, and social development.

“Let us continue to support his vision for a greater Nigeria where prosperity, justice, and peace are available to all”, he added.

Rep. Benson charged Nigerians should in unity build an enduring and sustainable nation for themselves.

“As we move forward, let us work together to build a nation that is truly of the people, by the people, and for the people”, he said.

“Let us uphold the principles of democracy and ensure that our nation remains a beacon of hope and freedom for generations to come.

“Once again, I congratulate all Nigerians on this Democracy Day celebration. May God bless our nation and its people”, he prayed while congratulating Nigerians.
