Pa Amos Oshin ‘Asiri Abo’s’ Final Journey Begins With Commendation Service

Chieftains of the Jerusalem Pilgrimage at the Special Service of Songs for late Pa Amos Oshin o Tuesday.

The final journey for Pa Amos Olabinjo Oshin, popularly called ‘Asiri – Abo’ or ‘Oyinbo Alajo’, the trustee emeritus of The African Bethel Church Cathedral, Ikorodu, kicked – off on Monday, June 3, 2024, with Commendation Service by the Clergymen, Lagos West Diocese.

While the special commendations service took place at The African Church Bethel Cathedral, Aga, Ikorodu, the service of songs by the Jerusalem Pilgrimage, Ikorodu/Kosofe branch, for their departed chieftain took place today at the Itunmeko home of the deceased.

The nonagenarian, who was a Trustee emeritus of The African Church Bethel Cathedral, Ikorodu, was a retired teacher, community leader, thrift collector/money lender in his active years in Ikorodu and Igbogbo areas of Ikorodu division. He was also a philanthropist and family head in both communities.

Pa Oshin was the head of the Molupa and Otetumo Agbabo Soole Agufon families of Ikorodu and head of the Adeyanlu family, the family that donated the land on which the Nigerian Immigration Office, Igbogbo Passport Office, is built.

He was also a chieftain of the Jerusalem Pilgrim Association in Ikorodu Division.

Tuesday, 4th June, 2024:

Service of Songs by Jerusalem Pilgrimage Ikorodu/ Kosofe branch, by 5pm, @ late Oshin’s house, Itunmeko, Ikorodu.

Wednesday, 5th June, 2024:

Commendation Service by all the Societies in The African Church Bethel Cathedral, Ikorodu, by 5pm, @ the Church auditorium.

At the service of songs

Thursday, 6th June 2024:

General Christian Wake Keep by 5pm @ The African Church Bethel Cathedral, Ikorodu.

Friday, 7th of June:

Burial Service by 11am @ The African Church Bethel Cathedral, Ikorodu, 48/50, Ireshe Road, Aga, Ikorodu.

Reception follows @ the Ikorodu Town Hall, Olubi/Owolowo, Ikorodu.

Sunday, 9th June:

Outing service by 10am @ The African Church Bethel Cathedral, Aga, Ikorodu.
