-Commends Council Chair for landmark project
The leadership of National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Imota Local Council Development Area (LCDA) Branch, on Saturday, May 31, 2024, visited the permanent site of the Imota Local Council Development Area Secretariat, to inspect the level of construction works that is currently ongoing.
The executive cabinet of the Youth Council in Imota LCDA led by Comrade Folarin Adegboyega Awal, during the inspection, appreciated the Executive Chairman of Imota LCDA, Hon. (Prince) Wasiu Kunle Agoro, for such a good initiative and visionary thinking in embarking on the legacy project, and lauded him for all his contributions to the progress of Imota LCDA.
lt would be recalled that the administration of Hon. Agoro, purchased the landed property directly opposite the asphalt plant in Imota and flagged – off the construction of a new Secretariat for the council in 2019, after 18 years of using the property of the Lagos State Hospital Management Board meant for the building of Imota General Hospital, despite several quit notice that were issued to the council at different times.
The ultra-modern secretariat complex, which is being constructed on two acres of land, will have offices with ante – rooms, conference hall, toilets, boardroom, canteen, Marriage Registry and other facilities as well as egislative Chamber and offices for the seven Council’s Councilors.
The Youth Council Coordinator and his team, during the inspection, noted that the project is as a result of the keen commitment of the Council boss to the growth and development of Imota LCDA.
Comrade Folarin, congratulating the Chairman, said that the laudable project means so much to Imota community.
“I congratulate the Council Chairman, because under his leadership, the community is about to set an outstanding record as the administration that builds the Council Secretariat of Imota LCDA, which will forever be accorded to him. This mean so much to us and we shall forever be grateful to you”, he said.
“It is on record that this project, when completed, will elevate Imota LCDA to being one of the best Council Secretariats in Ikorodu Division, hence, the need for the Youth Council as umbrella body of the youths in lmota, to expressed satisfaction and commend the efforts of the Council Chairman of Imota LCDA, for the works that his government has been doing towards the growth and development of the LCDA”, the statement noted.
“This will go down well in the history of Imota LCDA, and as well encourages other subsequent administrations to continue to build on the legacy of Agoro’s administration. We are proud of your achievements sir”, Comrade Folarin emphasized.
