The 73 wide and 383 metres Bamidele Laditi/Oluwo Odikan road project in Ikorodu West Local Council Development Area (LCDA) has been flagged – off by the Executive Chairman of the Council, Hon. Sulaimon Kazeem Olanrewaju, FCA FCTI.
The road project, which was flagged – off on Monday, May 27, with drainage on both sides, is expected to be completed within six months.
Addressing stakeholders and residents during the ceremony, Hon. Sulaimon said that the project, when completed, would bring about economic development to the area, improved accessibility with well – constructed road stretch to 350m by 9m which is 3,150 square.
“The drainage on both sides of the road is 3A drainage and while there will also be culvert. He added that the Street lights that will be provided after completion, will enhance the beauty of the road and also serve as security light.
Hon. Sulaimon Kazeem appreciated the collective efforts of the traditional rulers, Baales, Legislators, Executives, Council Management, Market leaders, the CDCs, Party members, Youth leaders, Landlord Association, as well as the residents of the benefitting community, for the successful Stakeholders meeting and flag off ceremony.
He appealed to the residents for their support and understanding during the construction period, stating that the road project is capital intensive.
