-Says project will enhance movement
Following the stakeholders’ engagement a few days back, the Executive Chairman of ljede Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo-Alogba, has flagged off the construction of a 330-meter long, in Oremeta area of the council, which will be completed within six months.
The construction of the 7.3-meter wide road which will have drainage system on both sides, commenced on Wednesday, May 15th, 2024.
In a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Chairman, Mr Gbolahan Rafiu Omotosho, he said that the project will be completed within six months.
Hon. Gbadebo – Alogba noted that the project is aimed at enhancing smooth transportation within the community.
She reiterated the need for residents’ cooperation with contractors for the timely completion of the project within six months.
Member, House of Assembly, Lagos State, representing the Ikorodu Constituency II, Hon. Abiodun Moshood Aro (AMA), representing Ikorodu constituency II, appreciated the council chairman’s efforts for deeming it fit to construct the much-needed road network within the LCDA.
The Council Engineer, Mr Femi Jegede, gave details of the technical aspects of the project.
Meanwhile, stakeholders and residents present at the flag – off, commended the council chairman and assured her of maximum cooperation with the contractor handling the project.
