The Senator representing Lagos East Senaorial District, Distinguished Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru, FCA, has mourned the passing of Mr Gboyega Soyannwo, the Deputy Chief of Staff to the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu.
Gbenga Omotoso, Honorable Commissioner for Information & Strategy, Lagos State, announced the passage on Wednesday.
The lawmaker, in a statement issued by his media aide, Mr. Enitan Olukotun, in Lagos, on Thursday, described the death of Mr. Soyannwo as shocking and a huge loss to his family, friends and the Lagos State Government.
“Late Gboyega Soyannwo was my friend, brother and a junior colleague in banking”.
The Senator extolled Soyannwo’s contributions to the development of Lagos State, particularly the pivotal role he played in the administration of Governor Sanwo-olu”, Sen. Abiru said.
He prayed for the repose of the soul of the deceased, adding that Almighty God should give the family, children and loved ones, the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
