In particular, the council boss has been commended for surpassing his predecessors and the innovative ways that he has been piloting the affairs of the council.
The recent commendations came the way of Hon. Sulaimon, following a statement titled, “Building a Better Council Secretariat for You!”, that he personally signed, where he stated his administration’s efforts so far in rehabilitating the council secretariat and makes it more friendly and productive environment for staff to operate in.
The Chairman has, over the weeks, unveiled some of his major and landmark projects like the magnificent multi – purpose hall within the council secretariat, event centre at Ipakodo, support for the vulnerable residents and commencement of the Ipakodo Empowerment Centere among many more.
“I’m excited to announce that we’re giving our Council Secretariat a makeover. As your Executive Chairman, I know it’s important to have a clean and comfortable workspace for our staff. This will also make the experience better for everyone who visits us”, he said.
“We’re revamping the whole place, not just the way it looks, but how it works too.
“We want to create a friendly environment where everyone feels welcome, and where our staff can work together at their best”, he added.
Otunba Sulaimon emphasized that modern features are being added to the structure with the use of modern technology, to make the council secretariat a befitting symbol of Ikorodu West LCDA.
“One of the big changes is the building itself. We’re giving it a modern update with new features that will save energy and make things more comfortable”, he assured.
“We’re also using the latest technology to make things run smoothly. The Council Secretariat is an important part of our community.
“We want it to be a place where people can come together and share ideas. That’s why we’re making it more inviting and user-friendly”, he further added.
But the focus is not just on revamping the secretariat and making it more functional, but also the use of technology to change the way things works in the council and encourage more effective and efficient delivery of services.
“We’re also streamlining how we do things at the Secretariat. By using new technology and best practices, we can work faster and get more things done with the resources we have”, he said.
“We are proud to be making these improvements to our Council Secretariat.
“This is a sign of our commitment to progress and to make Ikorodu West a great place to work and live!”
Reacting to the Council’s laudable and innovative efforts on THE IMPACT platform, Mr Temidayo Hassan, a lecturer and social media commentator, appreciated the council boss while also charging him on the need to use the technology that he is deploying to block leakages in the council’s revenue.
“While I appreciate the move of the Chairman of the LCDA, I will encourage the Chairman @Hon SKO, to deploy technology-driven strategies, that can effectively block IGR leakages and improve revenue collection for the LCDA. You need more money to do more. Cheers!”, he said.
“Well-done…continuous education/enlightenment on these changes should be considered. @Hon Sko, ire o!”.
Otunba (Dr.) Fatai Olukoga, former Special Adviser on Education, Lagos State and former Chairman, Ikorodu – Oga Development Association (IKODASS), charged him to keep up the good work which he said has differentiated him from his predecessors.

Comrade Asoro Abubakri Olatunji, Coordinator, National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) chapter, emphasized that the council’s efforts on using technologies to collect data and for procurement, are geared towards leakages and making the council more financially responsible.
“That informed the reason why some computer sets were procured. At the early state of this administration, they did a data collection of all the eligible shop permits payers and other tax players for documentation”, he said.
“The new system (computer) procurement is also aimed at digitalising administrative activities, and do away with files which are no longer environmentally friendly.
“He is also working on areas of IGR improvement”, he added.
The youth leader, who is gunning for state position of the NYCN, said that youths and the generality of the Ikorodu West LCDA’s dreams are being realized under the administration of Otunba Sulaimon Olanrewaju.
“I am glad to also state that over 20 years of dreams of young people in Ikorodu West is about coming to reality with the commencement of the construction of Ipakodo Empowerment Centre which will provide skill acquisitions for young people. The facility has been abandoned for more than 15 years”, he said.
“Ikorodu West has been turned into a construction site. We never imagined that a lot can be achieved with little and from a small purse.
“SKO is not using the box and he is not boxed”, he said.
Mr Adekunle Razaq Aderibigbe (ARA), former candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) for the Ikorodu Constituency I, the Lagos State House of Assembly, who is also an active participant on THE IMPACT platform also commenting, said:
