The Ikorodu – Oga Development Association (IKODASS), a socio – cultural and developmental body which serves as the umbrella body for all clubs and associations in Ikorodu Kingdom, has joined the rest of the world in honouring the pride son of Ikorodu, Chess Master Tunde Onakoya, on his Guinness World Record feat.
IKODASS is not only congratulating Onakoya for the feat attained by breaking the world record playing for about 60 hours at the Times Square in New York, but also for using the platform to call attention to the condition of African child and raised funds for the education of the less privileged ones.
Mr Rotimi Erogbogbo, IKODASS Chairman, in a statement today, gave the commendations.
“Congratulations, Tunde Onakoya, on your remarkable achievement of breaking the world Guinness Book record in Chess Game”, he said.
“Your dedication and endurance in playing nonstop for 60 hours in Times Square, are truly inspiring. Your commitment to raising funds for children’s education across Africa, is commendable and will surely make a significant impact. Keep shining as a beacon of hope and change for the dreams of millions of children.
“We, at Ikorodu Oga Development Association, firmly believe in your spirit and will continue to support the game of CHESS in our communities. Together, we win”, the IKODASS Chairman said.
