The family of late Pa Amos Olabinjo Oshin, Jpil., popularly called ‘Asiri Abo’. has released details of the burial arrangements of former teacher, religious and community leader.
Pa Oshin died peacefully in his lkorodu home in the evening of April 2nd, 2024. He was 97.
In a statement signed by his son, Engr. Sunday A. Oshin, MNSE, R. Coren, a week- long burial activities has been unfolded.
The announcement of the burial arrangements, which also serves as the formal notification of the death of the late nonagenarian, stated that the burial events will kick off on Monday, June 3 and ends Sunday, June 9, 2024.
“It is with deep sorrow that I inform you of the passing of my father, Chief Amos Olabinjo Oshin (JP), who was not only my beloved parent but also the esteemed head of the Molupa and Otetumo Agbabo Soole Agufon families of Ikorodu”, Engr. Oshin said.
Late Pa Oshin was also the Head of the Adeyanlu family Igbogbo.
According to the statement, the burial activities are as follows:
Monday, 3rd of June, 2024:
Commendation Service by the Clergymen, Lagos West Diocese, by 5pm at The African Church Bethel Cathedral, Aga, Ikorodu.
Tuesday, 4th June, 2024:
Service of Songs by Jerusalem Pilgrimage Ikorodu/ Kosofe Branch, by 5pm at late Oshin’s house, Itunmeko, Ikorodu.
Wednesday, 5th June, 2024:
Commendation Service by all the Societies in The African Church Bethel Cathedral, Ikorodu, by 5pm at the Church auditorium.
Thursday, 6th June 2024:
General Christian Wake Keep by 5pm @ The African Church Bethel Cathedral, Ikorodu.
Friday, 7th of June:
Burial Service by 11am @ The African Church Bethel Cathedral, Ikorodu, 48/50, Ireshe Road, Aga, Ikorodu.
The reception follows at Ikorodu Town Hall, Olubi/Owolowo, Ikorodu.
Sunday, 9th June:
Outing service by 10am @ The African Church Bethel Cathedral, Aga, Ikorodu.
