Muslims in Nigeria have been urged on the need to continue with virtues and blessings of the Ramadan period beyond the 30 day fasting.
Rep. Babajimi Benson, Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on Defense, gave the charge in a statement celebrating the end of the Ramadan by the Muslims.
“I extend my heartfelt congratulations to all my muslim brothers and sisters, as well as my beloved people of Ikorodu Federal Constituency and Nigeria, on the successful completion of the spiritual month of Ramadan”, he said.
“As we celebrate this joyous occasion, I urge you to continue to nurture the virtues and blessings cultivated during Ramadan”.
Rep. Benson also charged them and entire citizenry on the need to maintain togetherness, sacrifice and peace.
“I also encourage all muslim faithful and Nigerians by extension, to maintain the spirit of brotherhood, perseverance, sacrifice, and peace beyond Ramadan”, he said.
“May Almighty Allah accept the fasts and supplications as acts of worship”.
