-Felicitates Muslims on eid – el – fitri
A total of 100 residents, who are mainly members of the Ward B All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ikorodu Local Government, on Monday, were presented with bags containing food items, by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Southwest Integration and DAWN, Hon. Olanrewaju Sunmi Odesanya.
The gesture was one of the former state lawmaker and Assembly commission member’s support to the people of his ward for their support for him and his party, which is done from time to time.
The food bags, which were distributed to many aged and young APC members at the monthly meeting of the Ward, contained rice, beans, garri, spaghetti, sugar and salt.
Mr Monsuru Lawal, the ward chairman, announced the donation of the 100 bags of the food items, at the beginning of the meeting, and commended the political appointee for always remembering his people.
The Ward Secretary, Mr Lanre Aregbesola, described the Special Adviser as a good leader who has been given back to his people continually.
He expressed the appreciation of the entire executives and members of the ward to Hon. Odesanya for his gesture.
“Hon Sunmi Odesanya has been a good leader in our ward (ward B) which he is a member. He is the only leader that gives back to the ward regardless of groupings”, he said.
“He has consistently been given back at every ward meeting. He purchased the public address system we are currently using at the Ward meetings.
” He has proven to us in Ward B that there are some leaders in political positions that still consider their wards of origin as it was done in those days.
“Both executives and members of APC in ward B, appreciate him for his gesture towards the ward, and we pray that he will continue to get higher positions in government, as he has proven himself worthy as people’s representative”, Mr Aregbesola said.
After the presentation, some of the elderly women chorused their commendations for the donor.
They prayed for his success, elevation and continuous capacity to do more.
Other beneficiaries also thanked Hon. Sunmi Odesanya, as they were receiving their packs.
