The Senator representing the Lagos East Senatorial District, Senator Mukhail Tokunbo Abiru, FCA, has been congratulated by the #DoingGood Women Ladies, the women wing of his political structure, on his birthday anniversary.
The banker turned Senator was celebrated in a statement signed by the chieftains of the #DoingGood Women and Ladies, Hon. (Chief) Mrs. Adebimpe Akinsola, former Commissioner for Tourism, Arts & Culture, Lagos State, and Alhaja Abiodun Sheryl Ogunniyi, former Best Principal in Nigeria, as a professional and politician who has contributed greatly to the development of Ikorodu, Lagos East, Lagos State and Nigeria.
“Since his entrance into the Nigerian political space Senator Abiru has been using his vast knowledge in the private sector to make his legislative and representative duties worthwhile, impacful and benefitting to his home town, Ikorodu, Lagos East, Lagos State and Nigeria as a whole”, the #DoingGood Women said.
“Senator Abiru has been contributing largely to bills that are impacting positively on the development of Lagos State and Nigeria, in his quest to fulfil his legislative duty.
“In his representative capacity, over 100 youths have gained tech employment and earning a salary of N200,000 per month from the SAIL Innovation Lab; over 4,667 youths have been impacted across Lagos East through valuable tech skills such as STEM for Secondary School Students, Lagos East Teachers Fellowship, Startup Accelerator, Data Science for Society, Game Development and of course Tech Talent Development.
“The SAIL Innovation Lab, though, serving the present needs of students and teachers’ educational development, but here is an initiative that empowers individuals and the community for the future and make the human resources to not only compete favourably with their counterparts in the global market, but also place them ahead of their peers. It is the future.
“Thousands of homes across the Lagos East Senatorial District have also benefited from his monthly cash support; food palliative support and other forms of his intervention programmes.
“Equally, hundreds of students have benefitted from his rich bursary scheme for students in Lagos East; MSME Business Support among others. You are a shining example of a politician, a true inspiration and our guiding light. Thanks for being the truly great leader that you are.
“Senator Abiru has also been impacting various communities under the Lagos East Senatorial District, with various projects like: mini-stadia, sports complex, markets and solar-powered street lights and transformers amongst others”, the statement stated.
The #DoingGood Women and Ladies, wished the Senator Abiru many more impactful and quality years ahead.
