The Senator representing the Lagos East Senatorial District, Sen. Mikhail Adetokunbo Abiru, FCA, has been congratulated by political leaders in Ikorodu, on his emergence as the Chairman, Southwest Senators’ Forum.
They said that the Senator is truly deserving of the position.
Abiru, who is the Chairman, Senate Committee on Banking, Insurance and other Financial Institutions, was today unanimously elected by the 51 Senators from the 17 Southern States in that capacity.
Former Chairman, Nigerian Majority Leaders Forum and the immediate past representative of Ikorodu Constituency I, Hon. Sanai Agunbiade, while felicitating the two term Senator, described him as a golden fish that has no place to hide.
“I congratulate you and wish for you a successful and remarkable tenure as the Chairman of Southern Senators Forum”, he said.
“A golden fish has never been known to have a hidden place. Your sterling performances and records prior to joining politics will always pave ways for you high up there. More colourful feathers to your cap my brother”, the former Majority Leader, Lagos Assembly, added.
Prince Jamiu Adio Saka, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ikorodu, in his own congratulatory message, said that the Senator’s election was deserving.
“A very deserving election. Congratulations to our Distinguished Senator Abiru”, he said.
Former Chairman, Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, Hon. Jimoh Ogunmuyiwa, also reacting, said:
“Congratulations to our Distinguished Senator”.
While Comrade (Mrs) Kehinde Okeowo, a former Chairman, National Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), lkorodu Local Government, in her own reaction, said:
“Our Doing Good Senator, Congratulations Sir”.
Also congratulating the Senator, Mr Olajide Oladejo said:
“This is a man of the people, a Senator indeed. Congratulations and God bless sir”.
