The Chairmanship aspirant for the Igbogbo/Bayeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA) of Ikorodu Division, Lagos State, Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun (HOA), has not just declared his aspiration, but has also backed it up with his programmes for the residents.
In a statement sent to THE IMPACT on Wednesday (yesterday), Aroyewun will be pursuing his aspiration to succeed the incumbent Chairman, Builder Sesan Daini, when he completes his tenure in 2025, on five cardinal agenda.
The first of his plans is tagged, ‘Green Interventions’, through which he intends to bring about food security and environment sustenance.
He said that he would achieve this through collaboration with other stakeholders.
“When we collaborate, we can produce and make foods available and affordable. As we know, food is part of culture. We cannot allow our signature foods to be endangered because those foods give us cultural goodwill”, the statement said.
“We would also collaborate with all stakeholders to protect and beautify our environment. Where there is good thinking, good outcomes are most likely as we will plan for margins of errors.
“With our strong will, we will walk workable ways.
“Introducing Green interventions as the first item on our 5-point plan of actions”, the statement said.
In a chat with the aspirant, he explained to our reporter that details of his 5 – point agenda will be provided in a comprehensive plan which will be released later.
“For now, we will be whetting people’s appetite by releasing the highlights”, Aroyewun said.
“We are not just aspiring, but we are seeking the people’s mandate based on trust and what we are going to offer them”, he added.
