The Chairman, Ijede Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo – Alogba, and other officials of the council, today, paid official visitation to Prince Kazeem Adebayo Amusa, in his capacity as the Alajede – elect.
Hon. Gbadebo arrived the Oba – elect’s house at Eluku Street, Ijede, alongside her Vice Chairman, Hon. Kareem Femi Kabir, Councilors, Supervisory Councilors, Council Manager, Mrs Adedoyin and other management team, around 3:00pm.
She congratulated the Oba – elect and his father, Prince Adegbola Amusa who was a retired educationist on his emergence of as the Alajede – elect.
The Council boss also prayed that the emergence of Prince Amusa as the next Alajede of Ijede, will bring new era that would usher in economic, social and political prosperity in Ijede LCDA.
Speaking with THE IMPACT after the visit, Hon. Alogba said that the visit was an official one by the council team to the new Alajede – elect.
The Alajede – elect, who threw banters at virtually everyone in the room, said that the court pronouncement came too sudden, but assured the visitors that he is ready and willing to ascend the throne of his ancestors.
“I actually did not expect it now. The development came suddenly. We were still looking forward to sometime in May. Although, it is something that we have been expecting for about 12 years and working towards it”, the Oba – elect said.
“But I am prepared and ready for the position. I am getting used to it all”.
He also said that his emergence will liberate ljede.
“On that day that the judgment was pronounced, and on returning to Ijede and witnessed the crowd that welcomed us back, I knew that Ijede’s liberation has commenced”, he said.
Several groups, political leaders and individuals also visited the Oba – elect among which is the Ijede Unified Youth Forum led by Prince Olumide Musediq.
Meanwhile, THE IMPACT gathered that reconciliation and consultation meetings are ongoing and that necessary rites for the new Alajede may begin any moment from now.
