The umbrella body of youths in Igbogbo Kingdom, the Igbogbo Youth Coalition (IYC), has expressed its sincerest appreciation to Rep. Babajimi Benson, Chairman, House of Representatives’ Committee on Defense, over the flag – off the Igbogbo/Offin/Oreta road reconstruction.
The road project, which would be handled by JRB Construction Limited, was flagged off on Monday, by the lawmaker with the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo, Oba Semiudeen Kasali, several political leaders, eminent personalities and residents in attendance.
In a statement issued by Com. Kazeem Ogunmuyiwa, President, Igbogbo Youth Coalition (IYC), the group described the development by the lawmaker as the fulfilment of his promise to his constituents.
“Our sincerest appreciation goes to our always amazing federal representative, Hon. Babajimi Benson (MHR, Chairman House of Representatives Committee on Defense). We appreciate him for his sterling actions that culminated in the flag-off of the reconstruction of the Offin/Oreta road”, he said.
“His exemplary vision led him to assiduously lobby for the inclusion of the project in the FGN 2023 supplementary budget. No better example of ‘promise made, promise kept’ than this flag-off. More so, we are enamoured of Hon. Babajimi Benson’s consistency in bringing succour to his constituents and making Nigeria a better country.
“Our dear Hon. Benson, your undiluted commitment to the rehabilitation of Offin/Oreta road, is heavenly outstanding. We cannot appreciate you enough. On behalf of all Igbogbo youths, we thank you sincerely. We pray that our good Lord grants you prosperity and makes your heart desires come true”, he said.
The IYC President said that the road, when completed, would contribute significantly to the economic and social developments of the area.
“What you have done to the residents of Oreta, Offin, and other contiguous communities, is magnificent. The importance of the Offin/Oreta road network to food production and accessibility; and humans’ well-being, cannot be overstated”, he said.
“Hon. Babajimi Benson, ẹ ṣeun pupọ. Ọpẹ wá ó lopin lọdọ yín. Thank you, JB. God bless you always”, the youth body thanked the lawmaker.
