While commendations and appreciation for Rep. Babajmi Adegoke Benson, the representative of the Ikorodu Federal Constituency, by constituents of Ikorodu, across various platforms, were still pouring in over the completion of the Adeyanlu and Sodara Roads on which the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Igbogbo Passport Office, Igbogbo, is located, the three term lawmaker has announced the flag – off of additional two roads.
The lawmaker, through his media aide, had on Saturday, announced that the flag – off of the Igbogbo/Offin/Offin Road in Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, a project that he facilitated since last year, will hold on Monday, March 4, 2024, and earlier today, it was further announced that the Luck Fiber Road in Ikorodu North LCDA, will also be flagged-off same day.
Recalled that THE IMPACT had on Saturday, published a story (video) which has gone viral on the completion of the Adeyanlu and Sodara roads, a month after construction works started.
The news of the additional infrastructure has, again, generated positive reactions from residents who were still expressing their joy over the passport office road completion.
Henry Gbenga, a social critic and public commentator, in an unusual manner, praised the federal lawmaker for the gesture and impactful representation.
“What @Rep JB cannot do does not exist”, he said.
“Grapeville sources hinted and a big bird confirmed the flag-off of Igbogbo-Offin Ile-Oreta road reconstruction for Monday, 04.03.2024 by 10.00 a.m..
“We are going forward in the month of March niyen ooo”, he said.
Mr Titilope BALOGUN, Chairman, Igbogbo Day Planning Committee and Chief Executive Officer of a school located along the Offin/Oreta road, in a statement on behalf of the school (Andus D’Great Schools), thanked the ranking lawmaker for ensuring that he didn’t just promise but at the same time, seeing to the commencement of the project.
“The Conglomerate of Andus D’Great Schools extend its massive appreciation as you embark on this journey of rehabilitation of the Offin – Oreta road”, he said.
“This wouldn’t have been possible without your diligence, resilience and commitment to making the community a safe place. We are indeed enthralled by your accomplishments.
“Your unwavering dedication and relentless pursuit of excellence serve as an inspiration to us all. Your hard work truly sets the gold standard”, Balogun added.
Oloye Salami Oluwaseun, also commenting, described Rep. Benson as an lkorodu division’s infrastructural developer who is also totally committed.
“The state government has no place in lkorodu division when it’ comes to Infrastructure development and well-being of the people”, Oloye Salami said.
“Thank you JB, for restoring the lost glory of the ancient town”.
Oloye Salami, in his comment, also reminded the representative about his pledge to construct the Selewu road, while also charging him to consider taking over the reconstruction of the Igbogbo/Bayeku road from the state government.
“Please, don’t forget the Selewu road construction this year and if possible, you can take over the construction of Bayeiku road from the state government since it’s not ready for the job”, he charged.

The Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), Ikorodu branch, Comrade Oluwafemi Fakolade, Jpil., also commenting on THE IMPACT platform on the Offin/Oreta road flag – off, said that Ikorodu is on the way to greatness if the trend continues.
“Offin/Oreta road FLAG OFF: If these developments continue like this,Ikorodu will be the most developed LG in 5 years”.
