“I assure that I will always do whatever you want because you are our strength in the last general elections, and your contributions made Asiwaju Bola Tinubu to be elected as the President. A feat that we have been receiving commendations for.
“We are in hard time at the moment, but Asiwaju Tinubu always thrives under difficult situations. Just like when the situation in Lagos was difficult when he came in as the Governor of the State, and within a year, he turned things around, he would turn things around in Nigeria soon”, Rep. Benson assured.
“I can assure you that he is hearing your cry of hardship and he is working towards bringing about economic stability and give the citizenry relief”, he added.
The third term lawmaker, while stating how he has been bringing relief to his constituency, also highlighted efforts of the Lagos State governor in bringing support to the people in this critical period.
He announced the distribution of solar powered system to different sections of his constituency.
“Part of the relief package by the Governor of Lagos State, is N50, 000 for 15, 000 traders to boost their businesses, and he will still announce further relief packages’, he said.
“On our own, we are doing the little that we can. About two weeks ago, we invited all the party excos and we discussed not only the problems confronting us with them, but also the solutions and we assure them that Nigerians are going to smile soon with abundant food and job security.
“This solar will be distributed to political leaders, religious leaders, Baales and residents of Ikorodu, to serve as relief whenever there is no light. You don’t need to bother yourself when there is no generator, because your solar will work.
“ln the package, we have fan, radio, bulbs among others”, he added.
Rep. Benson also announced that he will be facilitating more infrastructures, especially roads, to Ikorodu in the coming weeks.
“For our electoral value, enough work is coming to Ikorodu. Likewise, we are facilitating more roads like Lambo – Lasunwon, Oreta – Offin, Ori Ori Okuta, Imota, Lucky Fibre and Agbede among others. This is because we voted massively in the last elections and there must be reward and the reward is coming through facilitation of roads’’, he said.
“We are going to facilitate eight major roads construction because of our electoral values.
“We are also facilitating two CBT centres to compliment the efforts of Ikorodu Division Resource Development Group (IDRDG). We are also going to be facilitating jobs at the Correctional Centres, Immigration”, he assured his constituents.
Mayor Muhydeen Sanwoola, the Executive Assistant to Governor Sanwo – Olu on Parks Management and Director General, iCare Foundation which is the Rep Benson’s operational team, said that the household solar – powered system is a promise kept.
“Last year, we distributed to party excos in principal positions and that time, you that were their assistants felt bad that you were not considered and we made a promise then that we will give other excos”, he said.
“Today, we are fulfilling our pledge to you with 2000 household solar system.
“We are not just distributing the solar but we are also going to install them in your various homes because it involves some technicalities to handle the panel. The positioning of the solar panel is key when installing it”, Mayor Sanwoola said.
He explained that the solar system is an intervention by Rep. Benson to bring relief to people with the heat wave being experienced.
“We are not only doing this to empower our people, but we realized that the recent heat wave is too much, and we are concerned about helping our people who are also facing hard times and cannot afford fuel to power their generators”, he said.
“Our desire to alleviate the sufferings of our people brought about this solar intervention just like we did earlier in the year when we provided food palliatives.
“Among the beneficiaries of today were 400 party members which is just about a quarter of the whole solar panel, while the rest is going into the community where the party people also belong to”, Mayor Sanwoola explained.
Deputy Governor, Prince Abiodun Ogunleye, commended the federal lawmaker for his quality representation since emergence.
He added that the household solar – powered system distributed to constituents will go a long way in reducing the heat been experienced in recent time.
The Representative of Ikorodu Constituency I in the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Gbolahan Ogunleye, commended the federal lawmaker for his representation, while also stating that the state lawmakers are ensuring that funds meant for the people are judiciously used.

“The subsidy that was removed is causing so much pains for the citizenry, and I am sure that our governor will unveil relief packages for the people.
“As your representative, we are ensuring that the increase in allocation to states due to the subsidy removal, is well spent by the executive and not diverted’, he added.
