Residents of Ikorodu Divison, especially youths have welcomed the emergence of Comrade Soyiga Samuel Adeshina as the Deputy Speaker, Lagos State Youth Parliament.
Soyiga, who was a former National President, National Association of Ikorodu Division Students (NAIDS), broke the news on THE IMPACT platform today.
“I am deeply grateful to have been elected as the 5th Deputy Speaker of the Lagos State Youth Parliament. Your support and trust mean the world to me”, he said.
He commended the representatives of Ikorodu Federal Constituency, Rep. Babajimi Benson, Executive Assistant to the Governor of Parks Management, Mayor Muhydeen Sanwoola and others for their support.
“A special shoutout to the youths of Ikorodu Division and across all divisions in Lagos State, for your well-wishes and encouragement”, he said.
“I want to express my sincere appreciation to Hon. Jimi Benson, Mayor Deen Sanwoola, Hon. Ogunleye Gbolahan Adetokunbo, Comrade Biliamin Olamilekan Oba, Dr. Murtala Seriki, Comrade Shasanya Akinola, Comrade Fatuga Rasheed, Hon. Salau Rukayat Ibukun Ajibike, NAIDS NATIONAL, IDYI, and everyone who have supported me since day one.
“I reiterate my unwavering commitment to serving the youths of Lagos State, with all my heart and dedication. Thank you all once again”.
Comrade Biliamin Olamilekan Oba, Chairman, National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Lagos State Chapter, congratulating Soyiga, charged him and others to ensure that they make a difference.
“Some of us are stepping out of the youth age and I am glad you guys are coming onboard to also make a difference for the youth constituency”, he said.
“One thing no one can take away from the Ikorodu division youth is our creativity, sagacity and sincerity of purpose when given assignments.

Mr Seyi Adelabu, one of THE IMPACT platform’s administrators, also congratulated the new Lagos Youth Parliament Deputy Speaker.

A Chairmanship aspirant in Igbogbo/Bayeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Mr Hameed Olalekan Aroyewun (HOA) and the Publicity Secretary, All Progressives Congress (APC), Ikorodu Division, Mr Femi Adinlewa, among others have also felicitated Soyiga on his election.
