The Oriwu College Old Students’ Association of Nigeria (OCOSAN), is ready for another landmark celebration of the premier college in Ikorodu Division and one of the best secondary schools in Nigeria, Oriwu College Ikorodu.
The school, which will be 75th on May 29 this year, is now known and called Oriwu Senior and Junior Model Colleges, Ikorodu, following the restructuring of the educational system some years back.
To achieve this, the OCOSAN National President, Alhaji Muhammad Busari Soyebo Arole, FCNA, inaugurated a 21 – man planning committee to organize a weeklong activity to commemorate the celebration of the school which has produced many important community, state, national and international figures.
Oriwu College has also produced the best teacher and one-day Governor in Lagos State, as well as Most Productive Teacher, both at the state and the national level and two Best School Administrators in Nigeria, in the last 10 years.
The school has also won many awards and has been honoured in Ikorodu, district, state, national and in Africa, for excellence in academic, culture, community and other engagements.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the 75th anniversary committee who is the National Deputy President of OCOSAN, Mr Kunle Oshodi, has promised a bigger and better anniversary celebration.
He charged all the old students of Oriwu College, to be part of the landmark celebration of the college’s achievements.
