The Executive Chairman, Ikorodu North Local Council Development Area (LCDA) of Ikorodu Division of Lagos State, Southwest, Nigeria, Builder Adéọlá Adébisi Banjọ, has described the Ayangbure of Ikorodu, HRM (Engr.) Oba Kabiru Adewale Shotobi, Adegorushe V, as not just a father but also a mentor and advisor to many successful sons and daughters of Ikorodu.
These accolades were contained in the council boss’ congratulatory message to the revered monarch on his 70th birthday anniversary today.
“Happy 70th birthday celebration to you, His Royal Majesty, Oba (Engr.) Abdulkabir Adewale Shotobi, Adegorunshen V. Today, I celebrate the Paramount Ruler of Ikorodu Kingdom”, he said.
“Your Majesty, you have been a guiding light as a father, mentor, friend, advisor, and confidant to many successful sons and daughters of Ikorodu division, for years before ascending the throne of your forefathers; and so you remain till date, even more as a father-figure, offering wisdom, guidance, and unwavering support”.
Builder Banjo also stated that the revered royal father’s roles in his kingdom, Ikorodu Division and at the state level, have reflected his exemplary and visionary leadership.
“Your role as the 1st Vice Chairman of the Council of Obas in Lagos State and the Permanent Chairman of the Council of Obas snd Chiefs of Ikorodu Local Government, reflects your commitment and finesse in leadership. Your cerebral-minded approach and great vision for our dear Ikorodu Kingdom, Ikorodu division, and Lagos State as a whole, are truly admirable”, he said.
“As you join the esteemed club of septuagenarians today, I pray that you live long in sound health to celebrate more decades of prosperous and impact-filled leadership on the throne of your ancestors. May Ikorodu Kingdom and Ikorodu division witness even more development and growth under your reign. May all your heart’s desires be met with divine blessings in this new year.
