The construction of the roads – Shodara and Adeyanju Streets, that connect the Bola Ahmed Tinubu Way and Ogunlewe Crescent, are expected to be completed in weeks with drainages on both sides and solar powered streetlights.

“I thank God and I appreciate the people of lgbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, and entire Ikorodu Division, for re – electing Hon. Babajimi Benson, to continue his good representation. I commend him for uplifting the infrastructural amenities in Ikorodu”, Builder Daini said.
“What we are having today is the flag – off of a road to take care of the passport office that was commissioned by the Nigerian Immigration Service, and it’s good for people to make promise and fulfil it. So, it is another promise fulfilled by Benson and I want to say thank you”.
Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and former Commissioner for Tourism, Arts & Culture, Hon. Adebimpe Akinsola, speaking at the flag – off, thanked the federal lawmaker for his giant strides, especially on infrastructural developments.

“I want to say a very big thank you to our representatives, Babajimi Adegoke Benson, for his giant strides as far as community development is concerned in his constituency, Ikorodu Federal Constituency. He has been doing a lot and I am not surprised that he is doing this again”, she said.
“I know that he must have put in a lot of pressure on the people concerned because the road will enhance and improve the work being done at the immigration office. There is no reason for us to have this edifice here and there is no access road to it
“We say a very big thank you to him and we know that the road, when completed, will serve a very big purpose for the immigration office, residents that will be coming to it for passport processing and even the host community
“The road will also enhance businesses and increase values of houses in this area. We are very grateful”, she added.
Engr. Lateef Oduntan, General Secretary, Igbogbo Development Association (IDEA), in his remarks, said:
“We thank God Almighty for all these developments coming into Igbogbo community within the space of one year. When the issue of immigration office came up, we thought that it was a small thing and at a point, we were scared but with the support of all members of the community and the Kabiyesi of Igbogbo, we achieved it. Then, Rep. Babajimi Benson promised Akin Ogunlewe Road construction and he did it and he also promised to construct this immigration office road and he’s doing it.
“He is a silent achiever. He has made other promises which he is equally doing. We are very grateful and the whole community is grateful.
In his royal speech, His Royal Majesty, Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali, the Adeboruwa, expressed his happiness over Rep. Benson’s quality representation
Adeboruwa was represented by High Chief Abdula-Jelili Adeola Oduntan, the Balogun of Igbogbo Kingdom.
“Since the emergence of the Kabiyesi on the Igbogbo Kingdom’s throne, we have been witnessing many developments. The land donated for the Immigration Office was actually meant for a market but our family gave it out to the community for the purpose. If we have gone ahead to use it for the market, we would not have witnessed all these developments that are coming up”, the royal father said.
“We are happy with Babajimi Benson, our Council Chairman, the Governor of Lagos State and the President of Nigeria, President Bola Tinubu. We are very grateful for giving us this opportunity in our community”.
