The Chairman, Ijede Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo – Alogba, has lent her support to the national team of Nigeria playing in the 2024 African Nations Cup (AFCON) in Cote’divore, urging the players to aim for victory.
Super Eagles will, today,face the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon in the Round of 16 stage of the football competition.
In a statement on Saturday by the Chief Press Secretary to the Chairman, Gbolahan Rafiu Omotosho., the sport – loving council boss pledged her continuous support to the national team, while also urging residents of Ijede to troop out to watch and cheer their darling Eagles to victory at a special viewing centre sited at the Alajede palace, Ijede, by the council.
“Today, Saturday, 27th January, is another opportunity to support the Super Eagles of Nigeria, as they clash with Lions of Cameroon by 9:pm, after they made us proud by progressing into the round of 16 from the group stage”, she said.
“Ijede LCDA, under the administration of Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo-Alogba, will continue to support the Super Eagles of Nigeria, with a free viewing center at ALAJEDE PALACE, for all the matches of AFCON 2023.
