The Principal, Oriwu Senior Model College, Ikorodu and Best Public School Administrator in Nigeria, Mr Akeem Oladimeji Bello, today clocks 60 years.
Bello, who is a Director in the Ministry of Education, Lagos State, will be bowing out of service in the next few days with honours.
In a statement signed today by the General Secretary and Chairman, Class of 1995, Oriwu College Old Students’ Association of Nigeria (OCOSAN), Kunle Adelabu and Abiodun Shitta, respectively, the former students thanked the celebrant for sustaining the tradition of excellence in their alma mater, while wishing him happy birthday.
“Today, we, again, identifying with you, Sir, on your 60th birthday and thanking you for sustaining the tradition of excellence in our great old school – Oriwu College Ikorodu”, the Class set said.
“We congratulate your selfless service, excellent performance, and impactful service to Oriwu College, Ikorodu, Ikorodu Division, Lagos State, Nigeria and Africa as a whole, because you are also recognized as an outstanding School Administrator in Africa.
“We celebrate the impacts that you have made in the 60 years of your life and more that you are still going to make in many decades to come.
“Happy birthday, more prosperous returns, long life, good health, happiness and riches. Thank you, thank you and thank you, Sir, for keeping the fire of excellence burning in our great old school”, the statement added.
In the same vein, in celebrating the great educationist’s birthday, Ikorodu Division Youth Initiative (IDYI), in a statement today, said that the body is celebrating his excellence performance as a teacher and school administrator.
“To an academic per excellence spiraling excellence in the premier college in Ikorodu Division, Oriwu College”, IDYI said.
“We celebrate your excellence on this special day, Mr. Akeem Oladimeji Bello.
“From all of us at Ikorodu Division Youth Initiative (IDYI)”.
A former Constituency Officer to Hon. Sanai Agunbiade, the former Majority Leader, Lagos State House of Assembly, Duchess Abike Allison, also felicitating the outstanding Principal, also described him as teacher per excellence.
“Happy Birthday to a teacher per excellence, a mentor who always says, “better get your facts right and straight while working with him”, she said.
“I am honor knowing you, sir. May God bless your new age as you have taking time to bless us with your knowledge. Llnp”
Elder Olu Omoniyi, a political leader in Ikorodu North LCDA, also wishing the educationist per excellence more impactful years ahead, wrote:

Prince Akeem Tijani, a former student of the celebrant, in his own felicitation, said:
