Ultimate Villa FC will, on Sunday, December 24, host Apalura FC in the opening match of the 15th edition of the Gafaar Bolowotan Gold Cup.
The tournament, which was initially scheduled to begin today (Saturday) could not kick- off as planned, due to some logistics challenges.
According to the organisers, the tournament will now kick off on Sunday (tomorrow), at 2pm prompt with Ultimate Villa FC trading tackles with the Apalura FC at the Police Barracks Playing Ground, along Igbogbo in Ikorodu.
The second match of the soccer competition holds same day between Adosag FC Int’l and Buquenson FC, at 4pm.
The Local Organising Committee (LOC) of the tournament, under the Chairmanship of Coach Abolore Ogunbunmi, and the Alhaji Luqman Shonibare led Ikorodu Division Football Association (IDFA), at a draw ceremony for the tournament, held on Friday in lkorodu, assured teams and football fans that this year’s edition of the competition will be bigger and better organized compared to the previous editions.
The tournament is sponsored by the Director – General, Lagos State Sports Commission, Prince Toyin Gafaar (Bolowotan).
