The road, Ori – Okuta road links the Agric – Isawo Road in Ikorodu West Local Council Development Area (LCDA) which is under construction by the Lagos State Government, to Eyita in Ikorodu North LCDA. The project, upon completion, will further reduce the volume of traffic on the Ikorodu –Lagos Road/Benson/Ikorodu garage roundabout.
The road construction, facilitated by the three – term lawmaker, was flagged – off on Saturday, December 9, 2023, with the Special Adviser on Local Government & Community Development, Dr Nurudeen Agbaje and the State Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Muhydeen Jokomba, in attendance.

The lawmaker, who is the Chairman, House Committee on Defense, speaking at the flag – off, said that the facilitation of the road was in fulfillment of the community’s needs assessment, and assured residents that the construction will be completed within the next 12 weeks with drainages and strettlights.
He called for support for the contractor and construction workers on site, so as to ensure completion within the scheduled time.
Dr. Nurudeen Agbaje, the Special Adviser to the Governor, on behalf of the State Executive Council, thanked Rep. Benson for his efforts in facilitating road constructions in rural areas and complimenting the efforts of the state government in developing the state.
