A former Minister for Works and the Senator representing the Lagos East Senatorial District between 1999 and 2023, Senator (Sir) Otunba Kingsley Adeseye Ogunlewe, KJW, has been congratulated by one of his successors, Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abirui, FCA, on his 80th birthday anniversary.
Ogunlewe, who is the Chairman, Ikorodu Division Resource Development Group (IDRDG) and chieftain of the Governance Advisory Council (GAC), clocked 80 today, December 6, 2023.
In the same vein, a former Commissioner for Information, Lagos State, and the Agbaakin of Ikorodu Kingdom, Sir (Otunba) Ayodele Elesho, also felicitated the celebrant.
Abiru, Chairman, Senate Committee on Banking, Insurance and other Financial Institutions, in a message released today, described Sen. Ogunlewe as a public officer who has contributed immensely to the development of his Council, State and the nation in general.
“I congratulate my dear leader, esteemed uncle and an Illustrious son of Ikorodu, Senator Kingsley Adeseye Ogunlewe, the former Federal Honourable Minister of Works, and member of the Governance Advisory Council (GAC), on the occasion of his landmark 80th birthday”, Abiru said.
“Senator Ogunlewe has contributed his quota to the development of Nigeria, as a former Permanent Secretary, Distinguished Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Honourable Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and erstwhile Pro-Chancellor of the University of Agriculture, Abeokuta.
“He is an accomplished national political figure, with a vast political network across Nigeria. He is indeed a great asset to our dear party, the All Progressives Congress (APC). We are proud of the quality leadership he has been providing, alongside other eminent leaders in the Lagos East Senatorial District, and Lagos State at large”.
The former Bank executive turned politician prayed for many more years of sound health and capity for the celebrant.
“On this milestone, I join his family, friends, associates and numerous well wishers in wishing him a happy 80th birthday. I pray that Almighty God grants him sound health as he continues to provide quality leadership for our people.
“Congratulations sir!”.
In his own message, Sir Ayodele Elesho also prayed for the celebrant whom he described as a senior brother.
“Happy 80th BIRTHDAY to our amiable Egbon, Sir. Senator Kingsley Adeseye Ogunlewe”, Sir Elesho said.
“Sir, Almighty God will continually strengthen you in all ramifications & grant you robust health always. Congratulations sir”.
