Rep. Babajimi Benson, the representative of the Ikorodu Federal Constituency, has urged Nigerians on the need to join hands with President Bola Ahmded Tinubu, in building a country where there will be economic prosperity and opportunities for its citizenry.
Benson, who is the Chairman, House Committee on Defense, while congratulating President Tinubu over the judgment of the apex court in the land, also stated that the Supreme Court has confirmed that Mr President received the mandate of the majority of Nigerians.
The lawmaker made the appeal in a press release that he personally signed on Friday.
“It is with great and resounding joy that I received the news of our victory at the Supreme Court yesterday”, he said.
“Finally, our victory at the general elections is confirmed and sealed! It is an attestation to the overwhelming support by Nigerians for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, at the polls.
“The people spoke and the Supreme Court has affirmed it! As a party, we were confident that our victory at the polls will eventually be established by the courts, because Nigerians came out and gave us their support massively and convincingly. I join Nigerians all over the world to congratulate our President and Commander-in-Chief, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on this heart-warming victory”, Rep. Benso said.
The lawmaker, stating that the conclusion of the legal process will give the administration the much needed confidence to implement its Renewed Hope agenda, also appealed to Nigerians and other political parties to join hands with the President and his party, All Progressives Congress (APC), in entrenching good governance.
“The end of this matter will usher in a rejuvenated vigour for the full implementation of our RENEWED HOPE programmes and policies”, he said.
“I, therefore, urge all Nigerians to join us in building an egalitarian Nigeria, where citizens will prosper economically and a society where we can all aspire to achieve our goals.
“I also urge all political parties to join hands with the All Progressives Congress (APC) to take Nigeria to greater heights. Indeed, our HOPE stands RENEWED”, the lawmaker appealed.
