The State Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. (Prince) Dr. Adeola Muhydeen Jokomba, has congratulated a chieftain of the Governance Advisory Council (GAC), Asiwaju Reuben Olorunfunmi Basorun, on his 85th birthday.
Jokomba, in a statement issued on Sunday, described Asiwaju Basorun, the First Secretary to the Civilian Governor in the State, lawyer, religious leader, seasoned politician and administrator, as someone who has been using his positions and experience for the development of his community, party, Lagos State and Nigeria at large.
APC Scribe said that the celebrant has contributed immensely to the growth and development of Lagos State, as former Secretary to the State Government, Commissioner, Council Administrator, Community Developer, Banker and now as a party leader and chieftain of the Governance Advisory Council of the ruling party in Lagos.
“On behalf of my party Chairman, entire executives of our great party, and good people of our party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), I join family, friends, political and religious associates, and well – wishers globally, to congratulate our leader, Asiwaju Reuben Olorunfunmi Basorun at 85”, he said.
“Baba Basorun has impacted greatly on Igbogbo, Ikorodu Division, Lagos State, Nigeria and humanity in general. He has served in many capacities and contributed immensely to developments with his commitment, dedication, discipline and wealth of experience.
“In his years of service and till date, Baba Basorun has shown that he is a man of integrity, honour, discipline, commitment and dedication.
“His contributions to our party at various levels is exemplary. He has provided leadership and supported the party’s structures in ensuring victories for our party. His wealth of experience as a former Awoist, former Secretary to the State Government, Director with the Central Bank of Nigeria, Lawyer and Community Developer and Mobiliser, has always come handy.
“Sir, your 85th birthday anniversary is a milestone and called for celebrations, because you have lived a life of meaning and impacts. We celebrate you today and wish your many more prosperous celebrations in years to come and we pray that God will grant you good health, happiness and capacity to continue to provide leadership to the community, Division, State and the country at large. Happy birthday, Baba Basorun!”, the APC State Scribe said.
