Father of late popular singer, Ilerioluwa Promise Aloba, popularly called ‘Mohbad’, has described the inability of his son to witness his planned wedding in October, as sad and unfortunate.
Mr Aloba Joseph Oluwabamire, who revealed the planned wedding ceremony when he spoke with our reporter in his home at Powerline, Oke – Eletu in Ijede Local Council Development Area (LCDA) of Ikorodu Division, Lagos State, during the week, said that he gave his consent for the wedding in May.
The late rap act died in mysterious circumstances on September 12, which led to the police exhuming his corpse last week for autopsy and proper investigation.
The corona inquest into his death began in Ikorodu on Friday.
“Yes, I am aware. He actually planned his wedding with his wife for October this year. He had been talking about the wedding”, Mr Aloba said.
“Around May (this year), l gave him my acceptance and blessing, and he fixed the date for October, and had started planning towards it. I told him that I have accepted his plan.
“I have great love for my son, and I had to accept his plans for his happiness.
“It was sad that he didn’t live to witness his own wedding that he had been planning for”.
Mohbad’s relationship with his wife, who has a son with him, has also been a source of controversies following the release of Mohbad’s call to her, where the late singer leveled some allegations against her.
