The Coroner’s inquest into the death of the late rap act, Ilerioluwa Aloba popularly known as Mohbad, began on Friday at the Magistrate court, situated within Candide-Johnson High Court Complex, Ita-Elewa, Ikorodu.
A major outcome of today’s sitting which was done behind a close – door, was fixing of October 13, 2023, as date witnesses will appear before the panel.
Following the request by Falana & Falana Chambers, the Lagos State Judiciary, had revealed that it will begin a coroner’s inquest into Mohbad’s death.
Funmi Falana, the lawyer representing Mohbad’s family, speaking to journalists after the proceedings, said:
“What we did today was to determine the how and what procedures to follow to help us get justice. We have fixed the next date and we will bring in our witnesses,” she said.
“We are representing the interest of justice, we should allow peace to reign but justice must be served. We will get to the root cause of the death”.
