The representative of the Ikorodu Federal Constituency, Rep. Babajimi Benson, has committed himself to the pursue of justice for Ilerioluwa Aloba (Mohbad), whose death has continued to generate massive protest, a week after.
Benson, in a statement today, described the untimely death of the late singer as tragic, while assuring that he would use his legislative power to further the pursuit of justice which Nigerian youths have been clamouring for, when the House of Representatives reconvenes.
Mohbad body was exhumed on Thursday, by the Lagos Command of the Nigerian Police for an autopsy and thorough investigation after the death of the singer degenerated into protests across major cities, towns and communities in Nigeria.
“The passing of Ilerioluwa Aloba (Mohbad) is an undeniably tragic and deeply painful loss. We have maintained communication with the Inspector General (IG) to ensure that this matter is diligently investigated to its rightful conclusion”, Rep. Benson said.
“The pursuit of justice for Mohbad transcends individual interests; it is an unmistakable spirit that binds us together as a community.
“Please, be rest assured that my unwavering commitment to this cause will be prominently displayed when we reconvene in the House of Representatives.
“During this difficult time, my heart extends its deepest sympathies, prayers, and thoughts to his grieving family”, he said.
