The ancient Igbogbo community in Igbogbo/Bayeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA) of Ikorodu Division, Lagos State, Southwest, Nigeria, on Thursday, joined other cities, towns and communities in the country, in organizing memorial in honour of the late afrobeat singer and songwriter, Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly called ‘Mohbad’.
The sudden death of Mohbad, who died under a very controversial manner last week, has continued to generate protests across the country and internationally.
The body of the singer, which was hurriedly buried at Gberigbe in Ikorodu, was on Thursday, exhumed for an autopsy and proper investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death.
Igbogbo youths took to the major roads in the Kingdom, to stage a peaceful march calling for justice for Mohbad and charging the Nigerian police to conduct a thorough investigation into his death.
After the march, the youths converged on Club 24/Igbogbo Night market where candle light was held for the late music act with several of his songs played.
