-Council Chair to also give Majidun PHC facelift

The Chairman of Ikorodu West Local Council Development Area (LCDA) of Ikorodu Division, Lagos State, Otunba (Hon) Sulaimon Kazeem Olanrwaju, is set to rehabilitate the damaged classrooms and rooftops of the UPE Primary School, Ajaguro.
Hon. Sulaimon also assured the management of the school that the Works and Housing Department of the Council, would attend to the renovation promptly.
The Chairman, who paid a familiarization tour to the Majidun Primary Health Centre, on Thursday, also pledged to give the health facility a facelift.
Speaking with our reporter, the Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to the Executive Chairman, Ikorodu West LCDA, Onanuga Ayotunde Patrick, said that the council boss paid a visit to the school on Tuesday, to see the state of the school and intervened appropriately.
According to the CPS, the council boss, who was disturbed by the state of some of the classrooms in the school, also assured the pupils in the school that he would do the renovation of the school and make it conducive for their learning.
While welcoming the Chairman and his team to the school, and thanking him for his intervention, the management of the school, on behalf of the community, also enjoined him to ensure the establishment of a secondary school in Ajaguro.
Meanwhile, Hon. Sulaimon has also promised to give the Majidun Primary health, a facelift.
The Chairman made the pledge after his tour of the medical facility on Thursday.
In a statement by the CPS, the Chairman also visited the PHC to assess the dilapidated structure at the Majidun Primary Health Centre, and has decided to interevene and ameliorate the deteriorating state of the facilities.
He explained further that the Council Chairman has, again, immediately instructed the Works and Housing Department of the council, to swing into action and renovates the entire building, to meet the required health standard.
