Representatives and other prominent personalities in Ikorodu Division, have felicitated Ranodu of Imota, His Royal Majesty, Oba Ajibade Bakare Agoro, FCA, on his birthday.
The revered royal father, who is the longest reigning traditional rulet in the division at the moment, added another year today, Tuesday, September 12, 2023.
Among eminent individuals that have extended greetings to the monarch are: Sen. Tokunbo Abiru, the Senator representing to the Lagos East Senatorual District, Rep. Babajimi Benson, representative, Ikorodu Federal Constituency, Hon. (Chief) Sanai Agunbiade, immediate past Majority Leader, Lagos State House of Assembly and Chairman, Nigerian Majority Leaders Forum and Otunba (Rotarian) Dr. Fatai Olajide Olukoga, former Special Adviser on Education, Lagos State.
In a statement signed by Sen. Abiru and wife, Mrs Feyisara Abiru, the duo described Oba Agoro as a monarch who has contributed immensely to the development of Ikorodu Division and Lagos State.
“On behalf of the good people of Lagos East Senatorial District, I heartily congratulate our royal father, HRM Oba Mudashiru Ajibade Bakare-Agoro, the Ranodu of Imota, on the occasion of his birthday”, Sen. Abiru and Mrs Abiru said.
“I salute Kabiyesi for his outstanding contributions to the development of Imota land and Ikorodu division in general. I am proud of the leadership he is providing to all and sundry.
“On this special day, I join Kabiyesi’s family, the indigenes and residents of Imota Kingdom and numerous well-wishers, in wishing our revered Monarch a happy birthday. I pray that Almighty God grants him sound health as he ages gracefully.
“Congratulations sir!,”.
Rep. Benson, who is the Chairman, House Committee on Defense, in his own congratulatory statement, said that the Ranodu of Imota is an uncommon leader whose reign has significantly contributed to the development of social and economic development of his community.
“I heartily felicitate with His Royal Majesty, Oba Mudasiru Ajibade Bakare-Agoro, Ranodu of Imota, on the occasion of his birthday”, the lawmaker said.
“Kabiyesi, you are a quintessential and charismatic leader whose penchant for the development of his community is unrivaled.
“Your efforts and unwavering support towards strengthening traditions, cultural values and socio-economic matters, are not unnoticed.
“May the good Lord grants you more years in good health and prosperity on the throne of your forebears. Happy birthday, Kabiyesi”.
The former Majority Leader, Lagos State House of Assembly and the Opomulero of Ikorodu, Hon. (Chief) Sanai Agunbiade, also saluted the traditional ruler for his contributions to the Division.
Agunbaide and his wife, Chief (Mrs) Adeola Agunbiade, the Yeye Opomulero of Ikorodu, felicitated the monarch in a statement today.

Also joining in the celebration of the traditional ruler’s birthday is Otunba (Rotarian) Dr. Fatai Olajide Olukoga, the former Special Adviser on Education, who prayed for long reign for the Kabiyesi.
