-Prof. Abayomi, Omotosho, Agbaje get another chance
The Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Monday, transmitted a second list of cabinet member-nominees to the Lagos State House of Assembly for consideration.
Former Commissioner for Health, Prof. Akin Abayomi and the former Commissioner for Information & Strategy, Mr Gbenga Omotosho, who were among the 17 nominees rejected by the House last month, made the new list.
Also on the list is Dr. Yekini Nurudeen Agbaje, who was one of the three nominees sent by the leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from Ikorodu Division to the Governor, but did not make the list sent to the Assembly previously.
Announcing the list of the nominees, the Speaker of the Assembly, Rt. Hon. (Dr) Mudashiru Obasa, directed the committee led by the Chief Whip, Fatai Mojeed, that screened the previous nominees to also screen the new names sent by the Governor.
