The Executive Chairman of Ijede LCDA, Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo-Alogba, has felicitated with the traditionalists in Ijede kingdom, on the celebration of this year’s Isese Day.
Hon. Gbadebo – Alogba, in a statement released today and signed by her Chief Press Secretary, Mrs Nurat Temitope Durojaiye, said that day is designed to showcase the rich cultural heritage of the Yorubas.
She charged on the importance of preserving the culture and tradition of the race.
“The Isese Day is an annual event marked to project the rich culture and age-long tradition of the Yoruba lineage across the globe. To celebrate the event, traditional rites will be performed by the sons of the soil, to appease the gods and seek peace and harmony”, Ijede LCDA Chairman.
“Our tradition can not be overlooked because it is the way and practice of our forefathers. As sons and daughters of Ijede, we must preserve our culture and uphold its ideals.
“On this note, I wish you all a beautiful celebration. May our ancestors accept all our sacrifices as we continue to pray for continued peace and stability in our community.”
