Recall that the Obasa directed the Clerk of the House, Barrister Olalekan Onafeko, to write the Governor requesting for the nominees’ local government areas, last Thursday when the House setup a screening committee and deliberated on the 39 – man list sent by the Governor, following protests against the list by honourable members.
There have also been several protests from various divisions and local governments across the state protesting exclusion. On Monday, monarchs and political leaders in Ikorodu Division wrote the Governor rejecting the proposed list and demanded for at least 3 slots instead of one allocated to the Division by the Governor.
Leaders from Ikorodu described the formula adopted by the Governor as arbitrary and unacceptable.
The Ikorodu Division People’s Forum had also written to the Governor demanded for four slots.
