It has been celebration galore for a community journalist of note, Kunle Adelabu, the Publisher & Reporter – in – Chief, THE IMPACT newspaper, who has made tremendous impacts not only in Ikorodu where he is operating, but Lagos State and on the global community.
The community journalist added another year today, and on the auspicious occasion, scores of stakeholders and residents have been acknowledging his impacts and professionalism.
The three term federal lawmaker and Chairman, House Committee, Rep. Babajimi Benson, in a statement released in commemoration of his birthday, described him as exceptional.
He commended his professionalism and impacts.
“I rejoice with the Editor-in-Chief and Publisher of The Impact Newspapers, Kunle Adelabu, on the occasion of his birthday”, Rep. Benson said.
“You have undoubtedly impacted Ikorodu Federal Constituency and Lagos at large, with development journalism in The Impact publications.
“You are an outstanding journalist whose proficiency in balanced, Indepth and objective community reportage is exceptional.
“May the good Lord grant you long life and prosperity in good health. Happy birthday, Kunle”, Rep. Benson congratulated the journalist.
Mr Hameed Olalekan Aroyewun (HOA), a former aspirant, Ikorodu Constituency II, Lagos State House of Assembly, in his own congratulatory statement, described the celebrant as an excellent journalist.
“Happy birthday to you, my dear brother, Kunle Adelabu. It is your special day and I celebrate you unreservedly. I pray for God’s all round blessings on you”, he said.
“You have always been excellent, so excellence shall be yours. You are always forward looking, so, your life shall be filled with progress.
“You know your craft, you understand the terrain, and you inspire the people with your works. You don’t wait for the news to come to you, you fetch the news.
” You support beneficial initiatives with your coverage. You propagate great stories to inspire the people. You unravel issues and challenges in our societies to engender prompt actions.
” I cannot thank you enough for what you do. Rest assured that your positive impacts will be ingrained in history. Your stars can never be dimmed, my brother. Keep shining, keep making impacts. Keep being successful and happy.
“Happy birthday, God bless you always”, Aroyewun prayed.
A scholar and researcher with the Cardiff University, Cardiff, United Kingdom, Dr Nurudeen Oshinlaja, in his own felicitatibg, described the pen pusher as a rare gift to humanity.
“Happy birthday to you, bro. Many happy returns of the day. God bless you always. Enduring wealth, sound health, peace of mind and happiness shall be yours forever”, Dr Oshinlaja said.
“You are rare gift to the world and your modest impacts are certainly ingrained in history. I cherish your grit, grace and gravitas. Do have a wonderful special day.

A prominent youth in Igbogbo and teacher, Kunle Shopitan, in his own statement started that the celebrant has made tremendous impacts with his journalism
“You have made a tremendous impact in the last few years that you have established the Impact news”, he said.
“The impact has been well felt by the people of the Ikorodu division and by extension, Lagos State.
“We are always proud of you with your genuine and sincere journalism. It can never be better than this but improvement can be sought for.
“I join millions of well – wishers on this day to celebrate you and I pray God will continually strengthen you. Lines will continually fall in pleasant places for you. Many happy returns of the day. Eledumare will bless you more than your expectations. Congratulations Sir”.
State Chairman, National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Comrade Olalekan Biliamin Oba, also felicitating the journalist, described him as a great and reputable journalist.
“I join other well – wishers to celebrate the birthday anniversary of a great and reputable Journalist”, he said.
“Mr Adelabu knows his onions and does it passionately. I pray God will always be with you always”, he said.
The Coordinator, National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Ikorodu West LCDA, Comrade Asoro Abubakari Olatunji, in a statement that he signed on behalf of the youth organization, congratulated the Publisher of THE IMPACT, and also acknowledged his support and impact.
“Happy birthday sir, thank you for bringing professionalism to community journalism, and for all you do to ensure a better and prosperous society”, he said.
“May this new age take inventory of all your good desires.
“Igba odun, iseju kan ni, sir.
“I bring you greetings from the youths of Ikorodu West. Thanks for all that we do together. Much love”, he said.
A legal practitioner and prominent youth leader in Igbogbo, Barr. Adeleke Aroyewun, also commented, said:
“Happy birthday to one of the very finest and seasoned in the Ikorodu division. A thorough-bred professional who is very critical at what he does and values criticism as a motivation to improve on his individual craft”, he said.
“To say you have been outstanding in your craft is to say the least. You have created a standard model for community journalism that needs to be studied all over the world. You have also proven that a successful career is not necessarily driven by return but by the fulfillment one finds in it.
