The Ikorodu – Oga Development Association (IKODASS), has celebrated one of its founders, Barr. Saheed Osuolale Kolawole Shillings, on his 60th birthday anniversary.
Shillings was a former General Secretary of the socio – cultural and developmental body.
In his felicitation, Asiwaju Rotimi Erogbogbo, Chairman, IKODASS, described the celebrant as a visionary, committed and consistent community builder and legal practitioner extraordinary.
He said that at 60, Shillings has not only impacted positively on his community, professional body and family in numerous ways, but still have many more years to offer in further development of Ikorodu.
“Today, on behalf of myself, the IKODASS General Council, the Executive Council and the entire residents of Ikorodu, I salute a visionary man, community builder, consistent advocate for just and fair society and extraordinary legal mind, Barr. SOK Shillings, a happy and awesome 60th birthday celebration”, he said.
“You are indeed a great mind who is not concerned about himself, but the prosperity and development of your community and its people. You have relentlessly fought for the emancipation of Ikorodu Division, and still actively engage in seeing our dear division to be equal, if not better placed, among the commity of communities.
“Your activities over the years in the formation and continued existence of IKODASS, Conference of Leaders of Ikorodu Division (COLID), teachers’ union, social clubs and the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) among others, have ascertained your place in the book of Ikorodu history.
“I have no doubt, whatsoever, that you still have many more years of active service for Ikorodu, Lagos State and humanity in general.
“At IKODASS, we wish you many more prosperous returns in good health, happiness and riches. Cheers to our own SOK!”.
A former aspirant for the Ikorodu Constituency II seat, Lagos State House of Assembly, Mr Hameed Olalekan Aroyewun (HOA), in his own congratulatory message, described the celebrant as a selfless leader and consistent community advocate.
“Happy 60th birthday to a selfless leader and community advocate of fairness, justice and development of Ikorodu division. I have known you for decades to champion the progress and development of our people and the division”, he said.
“You are one of the few who are consistent on contemporary issues, no matter whose ox is gored. It’s my prayers that the Ikorodu division of your dreams will come to fruition. Ikorodu Division ‘adi’ headquarters loju wa! Ase Edumare.
“Many happy returns of the celebration, Sir”.
Mr Ekundayo Hassan (Dee One), a lecturer and chief administrator, The Forthright Platform, also joining others in celebrating SOK Shillings, said:
