Kunle Adelabu
Mr Nurudeen Oshinalaja, a scholar and prominent son of Igbogbo, Igbogbo/Bayeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA), in Ikorodu Division of Lagos State, Southwest, Nigeria, will on Wednesday, attained a milestone in his scholarship pursuit when Cardiff University, Cardiff, United Kingdom, confers a doctorate degree (PhD. Earth Science), on him.
With his new feat, Oshinlaja is an expert with a wealth of knowledge regarding geography, geology, geophysics, soil sciences, and ecology, and now belongs to the class of organized and knowledgeable individuals that can create innovative solutions to the problems facing our world.
Oshinlaja was born in Igbogbo to the family of Late (Chief) Lamidi Salu Oshinlaja and Mrs Enitan Oshinlaja. He had his primary and secondary school education in the ancient town.
Although, far away from home, the young scholar is always in touch with his community where he has been mentoring youths and participating actively in the community and political engagements in Igbogbo.
He graduated top of his Applied Physics (Geophysics) class, 2003, gaining a Bachelor of Science (BSc) First Class Honours degree, from the University of Lagos, Lagos, Nigeria.
He holds a Master of Science (MSc) Distinction degree from the University of Birmingham, Edgbaston, United Kingdom.
Amazingly, Nurudeen, who is an expert in Science, is an Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA) with core competency in audit and internal controls, corporate governance, taxation and financial analysis and reporting.
