The Senator representing the Lagos East Senatorial District, Sen. Mikhail Tokunbo Abiru, has condoled with the family of the late Iya – Oloja of Ikorodu Division, Alhaja Taofeekat Abiodun Alison, on her death which occurred on Sunday (yesterday).
Abiru, in a statement that he jointly signed with his wife, Mrs Feyisola Abiru, described the late Iya-Oloja as an illustrious and educated market leader who touched many lives while alive.
“I condole with the Allison family, over the passing of their matriarch, Alhaja Taofikat Abiodun Allison, the Iyaloja General of Ikorodu”, he said.
“Alhaja Allison was an illustrious and educated businesswoman who touched the lives of many in Ikorodu and beyond, during her lifetime.
“She was a strong supporter of all my programmes, particularly my direct interventions for Market women and traders. I will miss mama’s native wisdom and good counsel.
“At this difficult time, I pray that Almighty Allah grants the family, market women and men in Ikorodu, and Lagos East Senatorial District in general, the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.
“Adieu, Alhaja Allison!”.
