The Eletu of Oke – Eletu in Ijede Local Council Development Area (LCDA) of Ikorodu Division of Lagos, Southwest, Nigeria, High Chief Adeniyi Omotayo Ajayi, joined the Chief Imam of Oke – Eletu Central Mosque to observed the Eid – El – Kabir prayer today.
Chief Imam, Alhaji Soyiga led the prayer which took place at the Oke – Eletu Primary School, Oke – Eletu.
Speaking with THE IMPACT at the prayer ground after observing the prayer, Eletu Adeniyi Ajayi charged Muslims to celebrate the annual festival in line with the dictate of Prophet Muhammadu (S.A.W).
He also used the medium to solicit support for President Tinubu and Gov. Sanwo – Olu and
“ I celebrate with fellow Muslims and all Nigerians, especially my people in Oke – Eletu and Ikorodu Division, as we celebrate this year’s Eid-el-Kabir celebration”, he said.
“I charge you to celebrate moderately and share whatever that you have with others, especially those in need. Let us live in harmony with our neighbours and eschew acts that bring about crisis and bickering.
“This is a trying period for our dear country and we must pray for the President, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, Governor of Lagos, Mr Babajide Sanwo – Olu, our traditional and other leaders. This is the time for all Nigerians to work together for nation building regardless of ethnic, political and religious background.
