-Kosoko now acting LTV GM
Lagos Governor, Mr Babajide Olushola Sanwo-Olu, has sacked the General Manager, Lagos State Television (LTV), Mrs Siju Alabi.
Adesola Kosoko, we gathered, has been named as the acting General Manager.
It was gathered that Alabi, who was appointed by former Governor Akinwunmi Ambode, has been asked to proceed on compulsory leave before now and will not be returning to the state – owned broadcast station.
Senior staff of the LTV confirmed her sack to THE IMPACT on Friday.
Alabi’s tenure has been turbulent with many staff protesting against her leadership. It was also gathered that many experienced and senior staff of the LTV were either forced out of the system or left when they were unable to cope with her.
Meanwhile, Kosoko, in her 25 years in the service of the LTV, has headed all the production and content directorates of the broadcast organization, and is very well known within the government and private circles.
Also removed from office is Ibrahim Odumboni, the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA).
Staff of the LAWMA, who spoke with our reporter, said that their former boss had actually been notified about his sack for some weeks and had been running around to prevent it.
LAWMA Executive Director, Finance, Kunle Adebiyi, has since taken over in acting capacity.
