The Tutor-General/Permanent Secretary, Education District II, Mrs. Anike Adekanye has been honoured with Excellence in Leadership Award by Nollyfans Entertainment Media in recognition of her sterling qualities and achievements in Public Service.
Nollyfans Entertainment Media also recognised 13 other staff and students of Education District II in various categories with different awards at the event held at Lagos Airport Hotel, Ikeja,
Receiving her award, Mrs. Adekanye thanked Nollyfans Entertainment Media for the recognition, stating that the Awards were in recognition of the giant strides that the District has been making in the Education sector in line with the T.H.E.M.E.S. Plus agenda of Lagos State Governor.
Dedicating the award to the entire staff of Education District II, the Tutor-General promised that she would not rest on her oars in ensuring that the District continually produces the best students in examinations across the State.
The TG/PS also appreciated the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu for providing an enabling environment for teaching and learning in Lagos.
The Founder of Nollyfans Achievements Awards, Mr. Steven Akpors disclosed that the Awards ceremony was designed to celebrate excellence, productivity, impacts and achievement of great icons across Africa with reputable works in various areas of life.
Akpors revealed that Adekanye was bestowed with the Award in recognition of her outstanding feats in leadership, excellence and impactful contribution to the Lagos State Ministry of Education as a seasoned Tutor-General/Permanent Secretary of Repute.
Mrs. Yetunde Jinmi-Ahisu, received the Best Principal Award, while the Best Director Award in the Education sector went to Mrs. Taibat Odukoya Abiodun.
Other recipients were Mrs. Abiodun Aderonke Ibiyemi, Mrs. Helen Oluwafolakemi Adejuwon, Mrs. Osundeko Idowu Omotola and Mr. Akindele Adesola Akinbode, who emerged unparalleled Teachers of Repute.
A Student of Eva Adelaja Girls Junior Secondary School, Miss Ojewunmi Yetunde Alao emerged Best Student in General Knowledge.
