Miss Rufai Azeezat Dolamu, an Ijede indigene who emerged as the best graduating student from Ikorodu Division, in the Lagos State University, Ojo, has been commended for the feat and celebrated by the residents.
Dolamu, who is the President of Ijede Students’ Union (ISU), and student of the Department of Biochemistry, Faculty of Science, graduated with 4.72 CGPA to emerge as the best in Ikorodu Division.
Alhaji Bashiru Akinwale Saminu, retired Assistant General Manager, National Control Center (NCC) and Transmission Service Provider (TSP) and a chieftain of the Ijede Development Foundation (IDF), announcing the feat on the Ijede LCDA Updates on Tuesday, said:
“LASU 2021/2022 Academic Session Best Graduating Student in Department of BIOCHEMISTRY and Best Graduating Student in Ikorodu Division, Congratulations……IJEDE TO THE WORLD”.
The General Secretary, Ijede Development Foundation (IDF), Mr Kunle Matti, described the feat as an outstanding scholarship achievement.
“I’m proud to identify with your outstanding scholarly accomplishment as the best graduating student in your department and one of the best graduating students in the school”, he said.
“Thanks for flying the flag of our noble town, Ijede, in such an amiable way.
“Good luck in your future endeavours. Congratulations, Azeezat!”.
Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo Alogba, Executive Chairman, Ijede LCDA, also congratulating Azeezat on the outstanding academic performance, said that it was a remarkable feat.
The Council boss, who expressed her happiness that a woman like her achieved the feat, stated that her feat is as a result of her diligence and commitment to her studies.
“I congratulate a distinguished daughter of Ijede, Rufai Azeezat Dolamu, for her remarkable academic feat, having graduated with a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 4.72 to emerge as the Best Graduating Student, Department of Biochemistry, Faculty of Science, Lagos State University, for the 2021/2022 academic session”, she said.
“I am especially elated that this phenomenal accomplishment was achieved by a woman from my LCDA, who doubles as the President of the Ijede Students’ Union.
“This feat is also a testament to her resourcefulness, diligence and dedication to academic excellence.
“Congratulations once again, Azeezat. We’re very proud of you”.
