One of the political Generals of the late Sen. Adebayo Sikiru Osinowo (Pepperito), Hon. Sanai Agunbiade, the immediate past Majority Leader, Lagos State House of Assembly, is remembering the late political giant, three years after his sudden death that left many shocked.
Osinowo was a ranking legislator and power – broker in the Lagos State House of Assembly where he formed a great bond with the former Majority Leader, before he was elected into the Green Chamber of the National Assembly where he died in active service.
In a brief statement, Hon. Agunbiade, who was philosophical, described his late leader as irreplaceable.
“Words seem too feeble in moments like these. But surely, Allah takes what is His, and what He gives is His, and to all things, He has appointed a time”, he said.
“Those who have patience get rewarded. Death leaves a heartache no one can heal. Our hearts still ache in sadness, for what it meant to lose you, no one will ever know.
“You were a father, leader, mentor and beyond, whose worth can never be told. There’s a place in our hearts no one can fill. We miss you and always will. The loss of a mentor, leader, no matter how old you are, changes your life forever, we’ll never really get over the loss, we learn to live with the loss and it is never far from our thoughts.
“Every day, we think and keep the legacy you laid.
“Rest on leader, Rest on Mentor, Rest on Father, Rest on Sen. Sikiru Bayo Osinowo”, Hon. Agunbiade stated.
